Mom, how I miss you. I just got into the car after work today and thought for a split second that I would give you a quick call... only to realize that now, while I can still talk to you, I don't have the sweet comfort of your voice on the other end of the line. I don't get to hear about your day or put you on speaker so that you can say hello to your little Livy. But rest assured, Mom, that Livy and I are both still talking to you.

My heart breaks with each passing day because I'm still hoping that you'll come back to us. Then God steps in, through the voice of a friend, or J.J., or Dad, and reminds me that you are finally Home, and that I should smile and feel the warmth that surrounds you.

If you could just come back for a minute, I would tell you one last time how much I love you; that I would never be the person I am today without you; that your love was a light.

I put a picture of you and Livy on my dresser (actually there are a bunch of them, I even carry a framed photo in my purse) but this is the one taken of the two of you at Jackie's wedding- you are showing her the duck you bought her here in Evanston and you're both smiling. I cut out a quote from one of the cards I received and put it in the frame too. It reads:

"Memories.
Let them fill your mind,
warm your heart,
and lead you through."

Those sweet memories are almost enough...
Love you so-

Brought together through our sons almost 20 years ago, we shared many
holidays filled with laughter, games and good food. Already we continued
her tradition of telling jokes around the Thanksgiving table last year, and we will keep her laughter alive.
Marsha was without bitterness or self-pity no matter how great her pain. We admired and loved her and are always grateful for her fiendship and kindness.

Although we have not seen Marsha very often over the last few years, we have fond memories of spending time with her on our wonderful FC band activities and trips. Marsha always had a ready smile and helped to keep those "percussion boys" under control. We will keep you in our hearts and prayers. Sharon & Joe Broscious

Gina and I were both pregnant at the same time I wasn't due until a few months later. After visitng Gina the day she had Livy little did I know my daughter would soon be arriving also even though she wasnt due until late september of that year. Gina and I were in the same hospital so before she was discharged she & Marsha came to visit me and the both of them were ANGELS for me, my daughter , and my husband,Chris. Not only had they been praying for us but Marsha put a necklace of St. Jude around my neck and told me not to take it off till everything was ok. I truly believe that helped bring a miracle ,my daughter, Marissa, into my life and kept me alive as well. I will always be grateful for her prayers and I am so glad I got to know the kind, sweet, caring ,generous, loving person she was. Gina, we have you and all your family in our thoughts and prayers here in CC, tx, luv ya ... Erica

Marcia was a CASA volunteer with the Virginia Beach Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) Program for the past 5 years. During those years she provided court advocacy for 10 abused and neglected children. She visited the children regularly, made sure they were receiving their court ordered services, helped research permanent placement plans for them, provided written reports to the Juvenile Court Judges and attended all their court hearings. She was also generous in giving of her time to mentor new volunteers to the CASA program.

We will sorely miss Marcia's gentle spirit, love of life and of course her invaluable volunteer advocacy efforts. We send our condolences to her family and friends at this difficult time.

Marsha was one of the first friends I made when I moved to Virginia Beach 14 years ago. She and I were in the same King's Daughters Circle and worked on a few parish ministries together at St. Nick's. I just knew when I saw Marsha at any gathering that I would be laughing with her. She was a blessing to all who knew her - always willing to share a tear, a laugh, a meal, her home...whatever was needed. Marsha, I'll miss you everyday and everywhere! I hope you know how much you were loved.
